西北印度洋雄性鸢乌贼个体的繁殖力特性

Effective fecundity in male Sthenoteuthis oualaniensis in the Northwest Indian Ocean

    目的 了解西北印度洋鸢乌贼雄性个体有效繁殖力特性,对印度洋雄性鸢乌贼的繁殖力、性腺成熟度以及精荚特性进行研究。
    方法 根据2021年11—12月、2022年3—5月的西北印度洋鸢乌贼样本,测定了个体胴长、体重、性成熟度、性腺质量、精荚个数、精荚长度、精荚囊长度等数据,对个体性腺发育过程中有效繁殖力特性、精荚囊与精荚随性腺发育的变化规律进行了分析。
    结果 西北印度洋鸢乌贼雄性胴长分布范围为127~275 mm,体重分布范围为87.1~606.1 g;性腺指数为0.20%~2.73%,精荚复合体指数为0.08%~2.63%;个体繁殖力范围为1~220 条,胴长相对繁殖力范围为0.006~1.073 条/mm;精荚囊长度为49.32~171.60 mm,重量为0.082~ 5.141 g,精荚囊长度和质量均随个体胴长和体重的增大而增大;精荚长为5.45~70.99 mm,精荚重为0.2~19.5 mg,二者呈现幂函数关系。
    结论 西北印度洋鸢乌贼雄性个体的性腺指数和精荚复合体指数随性腺发育而增大;个体有效繁殖力、精荚囊和精荚均随性腺发育而不断增大,均与胴长、体重呈显著的函数关系;精荚长度与重量均随着胴长和体重的增大而增大。本研究以西北印度洋雄性鸢乌贼为对象,分析其性腺发育规律、有效繁殖力特性,以深入了解鸢乌贼繁殖生物学特性,为后续西北印度洋鸢乌贼资源评估和可持续开发提供了依据。

     

    Abstract: Sthenoteuthis oualaniensis is an economically important Cephalopod in the Indian Ocean, which has a large amount of resources and rapid biological turnover. Fecundity provides important data for reflecting the survival ability of species, population reproduction, population biomass and other indicators. Research on fecundity can provide insight into the adaptive characteristics of organisms or populations to survive in the environment. In order to deeply understand the effective fecundity characteristics of male S. oualaniensis in the Northwest Indian Ocean, according to the samples of S. oualaniensis in the Northwest Indian Ocean from November to December 2021 and from March to May 2022. The data of individual mantle length, body weight, sexual maturity, gonadal weight, number of spermatophores, length of spermatophores and length of spermatophore sacs were measured, the effective fecundity characteristics, the changes of spermatophoric sac and spermatophore with gonad development were analyzed. The results showed that the mantle length of male S. oualaniensis ranged from 127 to 275 mm, and the body weight ranged from 87.1-606.1 g. The gonad index was 0.20%-2.73%, and the spermatophoric complex index was 0.08%-2.63%. The individual fecundity ranged from 1-220, and the relative fecundity of mantle length ranged from 0.006-1.073 mm each. The length of spermatophoric sac ranged from 49.32-171.60 mm, and the weight ranged from 0.082-5.141 g. The length and weight of spermatophoric sac increased with the increment of individual mantle length and body weight. The length of spermatophore was 5.45-70.99 mm, and the weight of spermatophore was 0.2-19.5 mg, they showed a power function relationship. The length and weight of spermatophore scaled up with growing carcass length and body weight. The above results showed that the gonad index and spermatophoric complex index of male S. oualaniensis in the Northwest Indian Ocean magnified with gonad development. Individual effective fecundity, spermatophoric sac and spermatophore increased with the development of gonad, and had significant functional relationship with individual carcass length and body weight. This study provides fundamental data on the reproductive biology of male S. oualaniensis, which is crucial for the assessment and sustainable management of this resource in the Northwest Indian Ocean.
